How to Clean and Maintain a Cloud Palm Rest

Quick answer

Wipe the Clouds Palm Rest Silver weekly with a dry microfiber cloth and spot-clean stains with mild soap and water. Avoid soaking the polyester surface or using harsh chemicals.

Step-by-step cleaning routine

1. 1. Daily dust removal: Lightly brush the surface with a dry microfiber cloth or a soft-bristle brush to remove loose dust and crumbs. Do this every few days to prevent buildup. A quick daily wipe keeps the palm rest fresh without any moisture.
2. 2. Spot-cleaning stains: Dampen a clean cloth with a tiny amount of mild dish soap mixed with water. Gently blot the stained area—do not rub or saturate the polyester. Rinse with a cloth dampened with plain water and let air dry completely. Always test on a hidden spot first. Harsh cleaners or scrubbing can damage the surface.
3. 3. Deep cleaning (monthly): If the palm rest looks dull, mix a few drops of mild detergent in a bowl of cool water. Dip a soft cloth, wring it nearly dry, and wipe the entire surface. Follow with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture. Let it air dry flat away from direct heat. Never machine-wash or submerge the palm rest. The polyester backing is not designed for immersion.
4. 4. Drying and reshaping: After cleaning, set the palm rest on a towel in a well-ventilated area. Fluff the polyester gently with your fingers while it dries to restore the original texture. Avoid heaters or direct sunlight—they can shrink or stiffen the fabric.
